The Organization for Responsible Governance (ORG) ave recently, through support from CFAL, gave the princesses from Princess Court Ministries a royal lesson on active citizenship.
This program is part of ORG’s ongoing commitment to empowering the youth of The Bahamas through engaging them in activities of participatory and accountable governance. Princess Court Ministries, a local nonprofit dedicated to uplifting young girls, participated in ORG’s Active Citizens Bahamas (ACB) training session, hosted at the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture.
A total of 34 girls participated in this session, which focused on the pillars of good governance, the roles of institutions, organizations and active citizens as advocates for responsible governance. ORG was proud to collaborate with Princess Court Ministries and support their commitment to fostering an environment where young girls can learn, grow, and develop into empowered women who positively impact society.

ORG’s mission is grounded in the belief that accountable governance is the foundation of a prosperous and equitable society. This initiative aligns with ORG’s virtuous cycle, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of education, civic engagement, economic empowerment, and community development. By educating and empowering young girls to understand their role and ability to positively influence their community, ORG is fostering a generation that will actively contribute to and participate in accountable governance.
“We believe that when youth are informed and engaged, they are more likely to become successful and active participants in their communities,” said Steffon Evans, Assistant Director of ORG.
“This session with Princess Court Ministries is a vital step in our ongoing efforts to build a better future for The Bahamas by empowering the next generation of leaders. ORG extends its heartfelt thanks to CFAL and the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture for their partnership in this meaningful initiative. Together, we are creating a brighter future for The Bahamas by ensuring that our youth are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to lead and advocate for responsible governance.”
